New Venture: Pixeldain by John Daniel Castillo

Graphics are almost everywhere, from streets, to newspapers, to books, television and, most of all, the web. It is considered as one of the most in demand service nowadays. That is why John Daniel Castillo takes the opportunity to create a venture to cater that huge demand, thus PixelDain is born.

What is PixelDain?

PixelDain  - is a freelance online venture of John Daniel Castillo. Since he is really loving the world of Virtual Graphics, he is using his free time to learn more about the stuff. Now, this learning turns to application which results to the formulation of this online graphic service.
Where the heck does the name come from?

Well, as it is obviously seen, the word is derived from two fused word:
Pixel and Dain. Let's look at each word carefully.

pixel
(piksəl)
noun

the basic unit or picture element that makes up the image displayed on a video screen

In digital imaging, a pixel (or picture element) is a single point in a raster image. The pixel is the smallest addressable screen element; it is the smallest unit of picture that can be controlled. Each pixel has its own address. The address of a pixel corresponds to its coordinates. Pixels are normally arranged in a two-dimensional grid, and are often represented using dots or squares. Each pixel is a sample of an original image; more samples typically provide more accurate representations of the original. The intensity of each pixel is variable. In color image systems, a color is typically represented by three or four component intensities such as red, green, and blue, or cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

So etymologically speaking, the word is just an abbreviation of the word picture (pix) and element (el). To know wore about the word visit
wikipedia.

dain
(dān)
noun

an abbreviation of the name Daniel (lol)
